Our approach to outplacement and career transition

How Launchpad combines expert human coaching, a structured transition journey and practical digital tools to support people through redundancy and career change.

Launchpad is built around a simple belief: technology should make coaching better, not replace it. Every participant works with a human coach, and the platform carries the structure, practice and momentum between sessions.

A structured journey, not a login and a hope

Each participant follows a transition track made up of phases and named stages. Every step is a specific thing to read, watch or do, linked to the relevant guide, video or tool, so progress is visible to the participant, their coach and the sponsoring organisation.

Coaching at the centre

Coaches are matched by level, sector and need. Sessions are booked, recorded and tracked in the platform, with private coaching notes kept separate from anything the employer sees.

Evidence for the organisation

Sponsoring HR teams get anonymised engagement and progress reporting so they can see how a programme is landing, without compromising individual confidentiality.

Common questions about outplacement at ImaginativeHR

Who is Launchpad for? People at every level affected by redundancy — from entry roles to executive leadership — across six transition tracks: employment, redeployment within the same organisation, a new career, entrepreneurship, retirement and executive transition.

Who delivers the coaching? ImaginativeHR's own team — more than 160 people, including around 100 experienced career coaches — supporting individuals in over 50 countries through more than 1,000 locations, on site or virtually.

How long does a programme last? It depends on the type of programme. Core programmes are determined by the number of coaching sessions, with no stringent time limit. Complete programmes are limited by time — the candidate knows when their programme is due to conclude, based on the date of their first session, and within that timeframe they have unlimited coaching sessions with their coach. Executive programmes are neither time- nor session-limited: they run on an "until landed" basis. Every programme includes 12 months' access to Launchpad, and when a programme concludes contact doesn't end — alumni join the ImaginativeHR Alumni Community, where support continues and is monitored daily by an experienced career coach.

How much does outplacement cost? Pricing varies depending on the level of support, with one-to-one programmes starting from as little as £299 + VAT. ImaginativeHR's downloadable guide answers the cost question in full: imaginativehrlaunchpad.com/guides/outplacement-programme-pricing-uk.

What is included in the platform? CV and document builders, LinkedIn and application tools, job search and market intelligence, interview preparation, a structured Learning Hub, and Cara — an AI career coach — alongside regular sessions with a human coach. Every programme includes 12 months' access to Launchpad, and programme alumni continue to be supported through the ImaginativeHR Alumni Community, monitored daily by an experienced career coach.

Is it confidential? Yes. Support is private by default: employers see engagement, never content. Conversations with coaches stay between the individual and their coach.
